Position Description

As a Procurement Specialist at BlueForge Alliance, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective procurement and sourcing of materials, goods, and services essential for our operations as a US nonprofit defense contractor supporting the US Navy. Reporting to the Procurement Lead, you will contribute to the strategic procurement initiatives, vendor management, and overall project success.   • Collaborate with the Procurement Lead to execute procurement strategies that ensure cost-efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement plans aligned with operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support in executing procurement initiatives.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to ensure adherence to performance targets.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of procurement processes, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in supplier relationship management, ensuring continuity and risk mitigation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Support the Procurement Lead in reviewing negotiation packages in coordination with the contracts team.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.
  • Maintain proficiency in procurement tools and software, including Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with US government procurement regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of thriving in fast-paced environments.

Salary & Benefits

Expected Salary Range $70,00-90,000 depending on role and qualifications.
