Position Description

The Marketing & Communications – Events position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events aimed at promoting and enhancing the BlueForge Alliance brand and image. This role requires strong project management, communication, and organizational skills to ensure seamless delivery of events that meet the needs of various stakeholders.   • Event planning and coordination - Plan and oversee logistics for various events including conferences, seminars, product launches, trade shows, exhibitions, sporting events, and online webinars. This includes managing vendor relationships, venue sourcing and selection, booking and coordinating equipment, preparing budgets, and negotiating contracts. 
  • Marketing and Communications – In coordination with internal and external stakeholders, develop and implement effective marketing communications strategies and tactics through various channels to promote events. This includes creating promotional materials, writing press releases, developing social media campaigns and email marketing campaigns, and managing website content for event-based pages while adhering to brand and messaging guidelines. 
  • Attendee Management - Plan and manage the registration process for attendees, including online registration systems, payment processing, and communication to registrants. Ensure that attendees receive accurate and timely information about the event, including logistical details, agendas, and reminders. 
  • Onsite Event Management - Manage all onsite event operations, including registration desk staffing, vendor management, signage, seating arrangements, catering, and audio/visual requirements. Work with other staff or contractors to ensure a high-quality event experience for attendees. 
  • Post-Event Reporting - Evaluate the effectiveness of events by creating and presenting post-event reports that analyze event attendance, revenue generated, social media engagement, and other performance metrics. Use the feedback to improve future events and enhance the company's marketing communications strategy. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, hospitality, or related field and 3+ years of experience; or equivalent. 
  • Proven and strong experience in event planning & logistics, including contract negotiation, venue sourcing, catering, and audio/visual requirements. 
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple events/projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective public speaking and negotiation skills. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations and offer solutions proactively. 
  • Proficient in MS Office and event-management software. 
  • Energetic, creative, dependable, and able to work with a team to meet organizational goals. 
  • Knowledge of branding/communications strategy and its impact on consumer behavior. 
  • Experience with social media marketing, email marketing, & digital marketing. 

Salary & Benefits

Expected Salary Range $50,000-70,000 depending on position and qualifications
